"That is what we have asked Taufik Batisah and Hady Mirza who are our Singapore Idol winners. Same questions go to our ‘Anugerah’ champions, Hyrul Anuar and Aliff Aziz who were opened when speaking about glamour.

| TAUFIK'S PERFORMANCES 'CAPTIVATE' KOREA CITIZENS |
 ASEAN-Korea Traditional Music Orchestra Concert
Receiving official invitation from other country but it sprinkles to the proletarian society.
That’s how it seems that is being enjoyed by singer, composer, Taufik Batisah, when he fulfilled the singing invitation at the Asean-Korea Traditional Music Orchestra Concert which took place in Jeju, Korea on 31 May and at The National Theatre of Korea in Seoul on 4 June.
Taufik said that he was excited with the experience of exchanging cultural knowledge from the musicians and artistes who came from 11 Asian countries.

| Taufik, Hady head Singaporean charge at Anugerah awards |
 SINGAPORE singer Taufik Batisah will be up for two awards at the coming Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM) 2009 awards, including best male artiste and best song collaboration (for Kepadanya, with fellow Singaporean Hady Mirza).
The APM is the only regional Malay music awards and, in a first, will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 18. Since its inception in 2001, it has been held in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Local female singer Nana, who usually sings rock tunes with her band The Vibes, is up for Best Vocal Performance (New Female Artiste). “I was shocked by the nomination,” the 29-year-old singer told Today.

| Malay Music Award moves to Jakarta |
Singapore artistes will no longer have their own “Best Of” category in the regional Malay music award ceremony Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM).
Three Singapore-centric awards – Best Song (Singapore), Best Singapore Act and Best Album – which are decided by a panel of industry experts, have been dropped from the annual celebration of Malay music from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Ms Zakiah Halim, Vice-president of Malay, Indian and community programming with MediaCorp Radio which organises the nine-year-old event, says the omission will make the awards a truly regional industry event.

Taufik Batisah is among the biggest recipient this year based on popularity for Usah Lepaskan which is co-written with Imran Ajmain. He received the award for Local Malay Pop Song with the Highest Royalty Earning for Local Malay Composition.
How big is the amount he received?
He did not say, but it probably could fulfill his dream of buying a branded watch like Panarei or Bell & Ross, which has a minimum price tag of $8000.
When met, Taufik admitted that he did not expect to receive payment for the song Usah Lepaskan coz the song was popular 2 years ago and also not the latest.

14th annual Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (Compass) Awards Presentations
Singer JJ Lin scores hat-trick at Compass Awards
POP singer and songwriter JJ Lin was a big winner at the 14th annual Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (Compass) Awards Presentations last night.
The 28-year-old swept three awards at the ceremony, which honours those in the music scene here. It was held at the Raffles City Convention Centre.

| Taufik’s name blooms all the way to London |
 Singapore Day
Although far in London, Overseas Singaporean residents over there also know the name Taufik Batisah as the winner of the First Singapore Idol.
Hence whose heart weren't happy when eventually as matter of fact the man himself was right in front of their eyes.
Taufik received thunderous applause when he sang two songs, Sesuatu Janji and Me and Mrs Jones when he performed for the 12,000 spectators who attended Singapore Day on 25 April which took place in the capital city of Britain.
According to Taufik's manager, Min, Overseas Singaporean fans who reside or study in Scotland and Italy even willing to fly to London specifically to watch Taufik's performances at Hampton Court.
