  Learning is always fun for Taufik Batisah. Be it for personal satisfaction or to improve his career as an entertainer, Taufik is all out to learn new things.
Our First Singapore Idol always hunger for knowledge. According to Taufik, by learning new things he will keep himself abreast with the latest development pertaining to his career as an entertainer.

| Taufik’s new Malay album out on 23 November 2008! |
 GOOD NEWS!!
Finally, the much anticipated new Malay album
“Suria Hatiku” will be officially out on 23 November 2008. The album will be available exclusively at ALL CD Rama outlets.
The first autograph session will be held at the Bookfest @Singapore 2008, Suntec Convention Hall 601-603, on 23 November 2008 at 6pm. Taufik will be singing his new songs at this event! Do show your support and be the first to hear Taufik singing his new songs at this event!
Do check out his new single which will be on air on RIA 89.7FM this coming days. Please show your support and request for it on RIA 89.7FM too!

After 30 years the local Malay music industry rises up again to a strong foothold in its own land. At last the award ceremony especially for local musicians will be held next year.
Taufik Batisah who is releasing his new album this 23 November, thinks that the award ceremony is appropriate at this time because local songs that go on air at the stations Warna and Ria are of quality and enthusiastic.

| Spirit of kindness lives on at Star Charity cabaret |
 THE economic downturn did little to dampen the spirit of giving at the President's Star Charity show, which raised $5.04 million this year, a slight drop from last year's total of $5.4 million.
The theme of last night's show was Singapore Cabaret, a jazzy trip down memory lane hosted by actors Adrian Pang and Michelle Chia.
Popular stars from the 1960s flew into town to perform, including 1960s local pop sensation Veronica Young, 60, who lives in France, and Dutch singer Anneke Gronloh, 66, whose Malay songs captivated audiences here and in Malaysia in that era.

SINGAPORE: This year's President's Star Charity Show, broadcast live on MediaCorp Channel 5 on Sunday evening, got off to a swinging start with a taste of the Fifties and Sixties.
Singapore Idol Taufik Batisah and young dancers from Jazzkids put on the Ritz with a toe-tapping number, while Kim Ng sang the classic Ja Jam Bo.

| M Nasir to publish Taufik’s album |
There’s another favourable news for loyal fans of Taufik Batisah, a singer from Singapore.
Latest news that Papa heard is that the young and handsome singer will collaborate with composer from his country of birth, M Nasir for his latest album.
According to Papa’s sources, Taufik is very excited when he found out that the famous sifu has agreed to publish his album.
There are many Malaysian singers who are looking for opportunities to have their albums published by that magical, extraordinary artiste.

| Taufik hunts for quality |
 It was indeed a surprise just as the lift door opened that leads to the direction to the studio where the photo session for the magazine SUTRA took place, Taufik Batisah appeared like a paparazzi – equipped with a Sony video camera which he purchased recently. “Ha, this is the reporter who writes about me,” Taufik who was making reviews and running the video cam without any warning. “What TV station is it for?” I tried to startle. “It’s for my blog, sis. Everyone has a blog."
"Only I who didn’t have time for one,” said Taufik. When I dared him to capture himself, Taufik who was in a pink T-shirt and Bermudas, commando style, didn’t object and directed the camera to him. “Real man wears pink! I like pink.” After being in the entertainment world for four years Taufik seems more confident in what he’s doing. His career objectives and missions are evident. Popularity is regarded as recognition for his hard work and serious desires to achieve the best. Popularity doesn’t come gratis.

| I want to know Papa Rock |

When told by my manager that I would be interviewing Papa Rock, my heart whispered, isn’t this an opportunity to get to know better the big brother, or rather uncle Ramli, to be exact.
It’s an attractive experience for me. An opportunity not to be missed and to be remembered for a long time.
My feelings were mixed. Felt fortunate and shy, but excited, couldn't wait for the scheduled meeting. As you know he is a great legend while I, Taufik only just starting out in the entertainment field.
I did ever meet him once or twice during performances but only to say hi and bye.

| Taufik’s currently a youth Idol |
 From being the first Singapore Idol, Taufik Batisah is currently the youth idol when he was conferred the Singapore Youth Award (SYA) in a ceremony held at the Istana yesterday.
Two other individuals also received similar awards from Deputy Prime Minister, Professor S. Jayakumar
The said award is the country’s highest acknowledgement to recognise their contributions and achievements and simultaneously become source of inspiration to other youths.
Taufik who clinched the title of Singapore Idol four years ago after winning a singing competition is believed to be the first Malay to receive the SYA award since 1999.

SINGAPORE: Three individuals and two teams received this year's Singapore Youth Award from Deputy Prime Minister Professor S Jayakumar at the Istana on Sunday.
Instituted in 1975, the annual award honours Singaporeans under the age of 35 who have contributed positively to society.
Since winning the 'Singapore Idol' four years ago, Taufik Batisah had won a slew of entertainment awards, including the title of Singapore's Favourite Male Artiste at the 2006 MTV Asia Award.

Guess who is receiving the highest national honour conferred on youth a.k.a. the Singapore Youth Awards (SYA) this year: Taufik Batisah, our nation’s first Singapore Idol (just when you think he is not ‘in the scene’ anymore).
Why wouldn’t we be surprised? The recipient for the Arts and Culture category deserves the award for his contribution to the local and regional music scene. We’ll skip rambling off these astronomic figures from his album sales and long string of awards he has won since emerging as the first Singapore Idol. Never mind that – what’s really impressive is how he has been using his fame to reach out to youths and inspire them in various ways. Encouragingly, he has led his fans on a volunteering visit to Jamiyah Children’s Home and used his voice to do good, such as raise funds for the President Star Charity 2007.

| Taufik a source of inspiration to youths to receive Singapore Youth Award |
 From a lead singer of a normal band to a star adores by many.
The name Taufik Batisah is no longer foreign here and across the causeway, and this is evident with the many accolades he has received in the regional Malay music industry.
His success four years ago as the first Singapore Idol has been an inspiration to the youths.
Taufik will be receiving the Singapore Youth Award in the Arts category this year. He is believed to be the first Malay to receive the award in the individual category since 1999.
